CHEMICAL LAB ASSISTANT (temporary replacement)

A leading oriental tobacco company is looking for a reliable and proactive person to join our company in the position of Chemical Lab Assistant (temporary replacement)

The position is a part of the Operational Compliance and Safety Department, Quality Assurance Laboratory and reports directly to the QA Laboratory Manager. The Senior Chemical Lab Assistant performs routine and specialized assignments associated with various tobacco samples testing and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the procedures in their respective areas of the laboratory under the supervision of the QA Laboratory Manager.

Location: Radinovo

The ideal candidate will possess:

- University degree in the field of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or other related
- Knowledge of the physicochemical characteristics of the materials and chemicals used, GLP
- Exccellent computer literacy (MS Excel in particular).
- Knowledge of the methods and equipment for chemical analyses.
- Working level command of English (written and spoken)
- Attention to detail and team work skills.
- Previous experience on a similar position or in a chemical/physical laboratory will be considered an advantage.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- Prepares samples, standards and reagents;
- Carries-out various analyses;
- Performs daily maintenance and replenishes supplies as needed;
- Generates, distributes and monitors worksheets and reports;
- Reports malfunctioning of all systems and equipment through appropriate channels;
- Maintains compliance with GLP, all laboratory policies and procedures as well as safety and quality practices.
